Wellness Pathway Examples

Tinnitus

Tinnitus is hearing ringing or white noise when there is no external sound. It is common at low levels. For those with a sudden, loud onset of tinnitus it can disrupt sleep, concentration, and interacting with others.

It is not a hearing problem, as there is no external sound. It is a nervous system issue. Your system has become adrenalised. Adrenalin affects your body and mind by:

  • contracting muscles and connective tissue around your ear, jaw and neck putting pressure on nerves.
  • affects your limbic system which is your brain’s emotion processing centre
  • compresses cranial bones which need to be released for proper nerve function

Severe tinnitus requires 10 to 15 consults.

  • 1 consult to understand tinnitus
  • 4 consults treat cranial tensions
  • 3 to 4 consults calm adrenal function
  • 2 consults of neck releases
  • 2 jaw unwind consults
  • 1 lower spine focus, whole body

Anxiety / GAD

Anxiety (or Generalised Anxiety Disorder) is part of your alarm protection system, which has become hyper-responsive or unable to switch off. The cause of GAD is from a past experience. You may know the cause, or it may be long forgotten. This natural alarm system needs a reset to more moderate functioning.
GAD symptoms include:

  • rapid breathing and heart palpitations
  • fear, panic
  • sweating without exertion
  • disturbed sleep and digestive problems
  • teeth grinding and clenching
  • outwardly irritable, angry, or withdrawn to mask anxiety
  • feel you are losing control

Your Wellness Pathway is 8 to 12 consults.

  • 1 consult to understand anxiety
  • 1 consult about family patterns
  • 1 to 2 consults past experiences
  • 1 to 2 consults awareness of triggers
  • 2 consults symptom management
  • 2 to 3 consults to practice equilibrium

Trauma

Trauma (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder/PTSD) is an extreme stress reaction to the threat of, or the result of actual harm, such as assault, accident, abuse, or concurrent difficult situations. PTSD symptoms include:

  • withdrawal from social circles, community supports, and uncharacteristic work absences
  • trouble sleeping, nightmares
  • event flashbacks
  • intrusive thoughts about the event, when thinking or doing unrelated tasks
  • pervasive anger, fear, guilt, shame
  • feeling jumpy, more easy to startle
